Past Reunions
In 2015, 25th class reunion occured including Nazareth School graduates and former students who were part of Class of 1990. The reunion took place in Arlington Virginia, USA.
The reunion was a success. Although no amount of words could describe the joy and emotions of reconnecting; some of the sentiments posted by Class of 90 included:
Rahel Tadesse: This was not just a reunion, this was a revival" simply put by one of my sisters for life! Thank you for all the love!
Hiwot Legesse Chapman: The committee - Thank you for a phenomenal reunion! Relived the wonderful memories yet again. It was nice to see and catch up with everyone because the hard work you put in.
Helina Teshome: Wow, what a reunion! I am exhausted but have not come down from the high of the whole experience. I'm also overwhelmed by everyone's gratitude. It is so nice to see all our effort and hard work coming together like it did. It was beautiful to visit with close friends, reconnect with old friends and make new ones. I truly feel inspired and I have no doubt we will do great things together that will uplift and empower girls. Thank you to my fellow committee members for a job well done! I also want to thank everyone that came to the reunion, it wouldn't be the same without you.
Aida Solomon: Thank you for putting such an amazing event together, and creating more happy and joyous memories for our class of 90. It was an amazing feeling seeing everyone in person after so many years who came from all over. I'm sure there will be many more and I'm sure we will be working together to fulfill the vision of helping our school continue to provide the best education as we had. I'm delighted that I found some of us who live very close to each other.
Tizita Fekredengle: We came, and it was as if we never left Nazareth School! We truly enjoyed each other, if only for a day. And it is because you guys sacrificed your time, money, comfort, etc. But rest assured, you have started a movement. Henceforth Nazareth Class of 90 will continue to grow closer, and draw more people into our fold. In short, Egzeabher Yakberelen!
Bethel Assefa: To my ladies of the hour -- to each and every one of you -- this note is to say May God bless your lives for dreaming this reunion and executing it in such a meaningful and well-coordinated way. Rahel - you had a vision and you picked the ladies that would materialize the dream. But guess what? I bet none of you really have grasped the magnitude of this pure joy your efforts gave the rest of us...I can say I was blown away with how well everything was coordinated.
Mesert Taye: Dearest sisters for life, I had an absolutely fantastic time last weekend with all of you. It was worth flying in for 6.5 hours for just one day! We are indeed so lucky and privileged to be able to connect with one another after so many years. Rahel Tadesse, thank you for sharing your vision and your commitment to make it a reality. Thank you to each one of the organizing committee members who took time out of your busy schedules to organize this amazing event.
"I think if I've learned anything about friendship, it's to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don't walk away, don't be distracted, don't be too busy or tired, don't take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together. Powerful stuff." -Jon Katz
